Destination Cycling is currently putting together the details for this trip and the rest of our 2008 calendar. Read the description of this year's event below and check back or call for details of next year's trip.
Each rider is required to raise a minimum $4,000 for the Central New England Chapter of the National MS Society. All fundraising contributions will be paid directly to the Central New England Chapter. The Chapter will retain a minimum of 80% of all funds raised with the remaining 20% used to cover trip costs. The money raised will be directed towards the National MS Society’s Promise 2010 research campaign. The Home Office of the National MS Society oversees the program and along with MS chapters nationwide, has committed to raising $30 million by 2010. This money will fund research programs that the Society believes hold great promise. You can learn more about Promise 2010 here.
The registration deadline is July 15, 2007. The fundraising deadline is August 18, 2007. If a rider has not raised $4,000 by August 18, the balance will be charged to the rider’s credit card given at registration.
The cost of the trip is $2,700. Trip costs will be covered by a combination of registration fees paid by the rider to Destination Cycling and reimbursement from the Central New England Chapter. Each rider must pay a minimum $1,000 registration fee. The remaining $1,700 will be paid by the rider and the Central New England Chapter with the relative amounts determined by the total funds raised by the rider as outlined in the table below. Spouses or significant others can attend for the full trip price of $2,700 if registered by July 15, 2007.

Each rider will pay a non-refundable registration fee of $500 when he or she registers. An additional $500 is due June 1, 2007. The balance of the registration fee will be determined by the funds raised and is due August 18, 2007. Riders who cancel before August 1, 2007 will be receive a refund of all but $500 of the registration fee. Riders who cancel after August 1, 2007, will receive a refund of all but $1,000 of the registration fee. Riders who cancel still agree to give all funds they have raised to the National MS Society.
With help from the Central New England Chapter of the National MS Society, Destination Cycling will work with riders to achieve their fundraising goals. Each rider will be encouraged to set up a fundraising webpage hosted by the National MS Society. You are leaders in the race against MS, and you will have a strong team behind you to help you achieve your goals.
